

PBWC at Outdoor School
The Powder Basin Watershed Council participated in this year's Haine's Elementary and Baker Elementary Outdoor School! Student's spend a week at Phillips Park learning outdoor eduction among the forested lands East of Baker City. PBWC provided hands-on, experiential learning opportunities leading both a watershed activity and a nature journal exercise. Approximately 150 students attended in all and spent their day rotating throughout five stations with an hour lunch break. He


Fall Cleanup!
The Powder Basin Watershed Council had an amazing turnout for this year's fall cleanup event! Baker Technical High School students from Burke Smejkal's Aquaponics and Aquaculture classes partnered with us to help put native plants in the ground. The students planted a total of thirty two plants including golden wax currents, red osier dogwood, and mock orange. Also joining us was the Baker City Girl Scouts!
