2015 Fall Tour in Keating

What a wonderful day PBWC had touring the beautiful Keating Valley in Eastern Oregon! First stop was BLM's Balm Creek Mine Restoration Site where we met with Denine Schmitz of the Bureau of Land Management. Denine spoke to us about the former Mother Lode Mining Site and the reclamation process that has taken place over the last fifteen years. Joining us was Baker Technical Institute's Brownfields class. After the mine tour, we headed over to Copper Belt Winery and learned about the winemaking process right in the heart of the Keating Valley
