Baker City Farmer's Market with Tri-County Cooperative Weed Management

The Powder Basin Watershed Council partnered with Tri-County Weed Cooperative Management in providing education and outreach to Farmer's Market attendees on Wednesday, August 26th. The afternoon was enjoyed in the company of many local produce, goods, and art vendors. Tri-County Weed provided materials on noxious weeds in the region while Powder Basin Watershed Council focused on the removal of western juniper. Despite heat, wind, and smokey skies due to recent fires, the event was a success and shoppers left with bountiful totes filled with local goods and an improved awareness of regional land management efforts.
