The Council's mission is "to facilitate community-supported maintenance and restoration of the streams, rivers, and lakes within our watersheds".
As part of our mission, the Powder Basin Watershed Council strives to provide up-to-date information and education related to water quality and riparian health for basin community members. The quarterly Newsletter will be distributed to all communities within the basin, including Baker City, Halfway, Sumpter, Haines, Unity, Hereford, Huntington, North Powder, and Richland. The newsletter will provide information about current and past projects, highlight water quality monitoring in classrooms, and serve as a forum for invigorating community involvement. For more information please contact us, or download a copy of the newsletter here.
